Key to Having Same Wallpaper for All Users in Windows 7

Posted on 22:50 by Unknown
Windows 7 WallpaperIf you would prefer to have the same desktop wallpaper for all the users in Windows 7, it is possible to do so with help from computer repair Houston service. However, if you prefer to do it yourself, you need to follow certain steps. It is to be noted that you have to be a Windows 7 administrator for accomplishing this task. The users in this case should be standard users and not have administrator rights, else they would be able to change the wallpaper again.

• Step 1: The user has to press the Windows key + R key for opening the Run dialog. You must type gpedit.msc in the box that appears and then hit the Enter key.

• Step 2: In the Group Policy Editor that opens, the user must select User Configuration from the left side. Then the user must choose Administrative Templates and go to Desktop and finally choose Desktop.

• Step 3: At the right side you will locate a value labeled Desktop Wallpaper. You must double click on it for editing it.

• Step 4: In the setting window labeled Desktop Wallpaper, the user must choose Enabled that is available on the top left side.

• Step 5: You must type the full name of the wallpaper file; note that the wallpaper file should be a BMP or a JPEG file. The style of the wallpaper can be selected from the dropdown list.

• Step 6: Finally click on the button labeled OK for saving the changes.

This should make all users on your computer use the same wallpaper even if they do not want to. Call an operating system support provider for help regarding such issues.
