Steps to Hide Desktop Icons in Windows XP

Posted on 04:02 by Unknown
We all love to have attractive desktop wallpapers. However, do you find that the icons on the desktop are ruining the look of the wallpaper; well, in that case you may choose to hide all the desktop icons if you are working in Windows XP operating system. The Windows desktop will look pretty without the icons and it also looks clutter free. Note that hiding the desktop icons in Windows XP does not mean they are getting deleted from the desktop; the user can choose to show the icons as and when they please. Desktop icons can be hidden by following certain steps.

• Step 1: Right click on an empty spot on the desktop

• Step 2: From the list of options, the user must choose “Arrange Icons By” and then go to “Show Desktop Icons” and uncheck the option by clicking on it

This will help all the desktop icons to be hidden, giving a whole view of the wallpaper. Now, if you want the desktop icons to be visible again, you have to follow some simple steps.

• Step 1: Right click on an empty area on the desktop

• Step 2: Choose “View” from the options available and then click on “Show Desktop Icons” option and you will be able to see the icons again

If you find you are not able to do this, you may contact the computer repair Atlanta service for online technical support.
